Although direct operation of a bicycle and a mounted animal are commonly referred to as riding, such operators are legally considered drivers and are required to obey the rules of the road. DriveabilityDriveability of a vehicle means the smooth delivery of power, as demanded by the driver. Typical causes of driveability degradation are rough idling, misfiring, surging, hesitation, or insufficient power. Driving skillsDriving in traffic is more than just knowing how to operate the mechanisms which control the vehicle; it requires knowing how to apply the rules of the road (which govern safe and efficient sharing with other users). An effective driver also has an intuitive understanding of the basics of vehicle handling. From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License Any advice for how to learn to drive, when your absolutley terrified of driving? Q. I'm 21, and I still don't have a driver's license. In high school, I never had time to learn, and then I was in college and definitely didnt have the time. I'm now a senior in college, and even though I dont think I'll need to have a car once I graduate because I plan on moving to NYC, I still believe I may at some point need to drive. My younger sister got her license this summer;and so didmy boyfriend, so now I am the only one I know without a license. Ive been taking driving lessons for about a month and a half this summer, and now I have to go back to school, and I still havent taken the road tet. I just know Im not ready to pass the test yet, thats why I havent taken it. Well first of all, the fact that you are so afraid of something like driving that you are getting panic attacks is a problem. Panic attacks happen to people for many different reasons and can take over your life. My mom got panic attacks for things that people really shouldn't be terrified of doing (driving for example). One option to get over your fear and not have panic attacks is go to your doctor for some help with panic attacks. Another way is to just take it slow. Although driving can be scary and of course can be dangerous, so can everything else. You say you are afraid of dying when you drive. If you were afraid of dying then you wouldn't want to cross a street either, or take your dog for a walk, or other things. Anybody can… [cont.] Answered by m - Wed Aug 15 20:07:40 2007 If I got a driving license in Nebraska and moved to Tennessee, do I need a new driving license? Q. I was planning to get a driving license in Nebraska before heading to Tennessee for graduate school. Can Nebraska`s driving license be recognized in Tennessee? Asked by changguem - Tue Jan 26 00:55:23 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. It depends on whether you move to Tennessee, or just attend school there. If you are actually moving, then yes, you'll need to get a new driver's license within a month or so. As far as I know, every state in the US requires this. However, if you're in the military, or a dependent of the military, or attending an out of state school, and you keep your permanent address in your old state (Nebraska, in your case), then your license will be valid in Tennessee. However, you MUST familiarize yourself with Tennessee traffic laws! Ignorance of the law is not a defense! My husband was in the military for 3 terms, and my old driver's license was accepted in every state that we moved to. If you register to vote in a new state, that's… [cont.] Answered by Jessica - Tue Jan 26 01:17:11 2010 What is the driving force that keeps people getting out of bed in the morning in a religious commune?
Q. In a capitalist society, the driving force that keeps people getting out of bed in the morning and trudging off to work is the desire for money. Money to pay off debts, money to buy more stuff, money to make the neighbors jealous etc. In a communist society, the driving force that keeps people getting out of bed in the morning and trudging off to work is a combination of a desire to help ones nation succeed and the fear of being sent to brainwashing camps if people don t toe the line. But in a religious commune, what is it that motivates people?
